• On the second Monday of each month the Borough Council Information Service will be at the Village Hall 2.00pm to 2.30pm to help with bus pass and rail concession applications along with a supply of re-cycling bags etc.

  • The new Shopper Bus has been up and running since December 2011. This service was arranged by the Parish Council working in partnership with the Monday Club and Essex County Council. The service operates every Wednesday picking up from Old Croft Close at 10.30am and then Souther Cross. Sainsburys at Springfield is the current destination giving residents around two hours to spend in the store. The fare is £2 each way or free for concessionary pass holders. Children 5-16 are half fare.

    Residents who wish to use this service must be a member of the bus user group which is free and must hold a membership pass obtainable from Mrs Sally Willsher

  • The Good Easter purchasing syndicate for central heating oil continues to help drive down the cost of living. The more who join in the cheaper the price. If interested contact Lionel Marsh – a few pence a litre is worth the effort!
